This is “The” Zeitgeist of Scientific Dread. The wisdom of today’s scientific understanding about what occurs in the accidental psychonaut’s head.
Now that we’ve got over introductions and are finally acquainted, it might do us well to consider what makes an Accidental Psychonaut. Else you won’t know what we’re in for. Leaving you cursed to drift, a languid eye, never to truly discover. more “So…what is an Accidental Psychonaut?”
The clock ticks, the spring kicks and the cuckoo flies its nest. The mechanics slaughtered, reality squandered as time goes on in a mess. What shall we do with this new found freedom? Let’s have fun, hustle up a mystery. Let’s flood the scenery with tears and laughing. Elixirs that torture apathy as they score some unrepentant melody.
One of the projects we’re involved in is the production of a podcast series. It’s a learning curve for us – but we love to learn!
Here is a wee taster – a first interview which we recorded as a practice run. It’s rough and ready, and not connected to any podcast platforms. We’re still working behind the scenes to get the podcast series up and running.

The mad posse is proud to announce that we have our first Master of Mad Studies. Jesse graduated with distinction on 2 July from the MSc Mad Studies programme at Queen Margaret University.
The ceremony at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall was long and mostly boring, however Jesse punked the faculty by displaying his Save Mad Studies t-shirt when being capped, in protest of the programme closure:

It has been months in the making – not because of any particular complexity, but mainly due to good old-fashioned personal time constraints. However we hope it will serve its purpose: to grow our membership and to contribute to the mad movement.
We are so grateful to the Edge Fund for supporting us in their Funding Round 15, with a grant that has allowed us to invest in this new platform.
And big thanks go to Alex for his steadfast tech support and his unfailingly sweet-natured cheerleading from the sidelines. It has been really comforting when the challenges of web hosting and site design felt overwhelming.
